It’s gonna be a beautiful summer

What went through my head when I was shoving the last assignment of the lot into the pigeon hole was ‘fuck, papercut’ and ‘I can’t believe I’m DONE!!!’.

Hello 4 months of summer fun :)

Had lunch with the fellow ‘tards at Bangsar Village… why didn’t we do this earlier!? Answer: Chian Tyng’s busy with her CA and Bal’s busy with his girls. But ’twas great fun… it’s really refreshing to just kick back with the two people who know you inside out, away from the judgemental world and just basically… talk cock :)

We used to have this pact way back in college- if the three of us are still single by the time we’re 35, we’ll move into a huge mansion (’course we’ll be filthy rich by then) and hang out forever. But I’m already out of the picture so… I promise I’ll visit!!

Taking stock

There are many things I ought to be and am grateful of. I have a wonderful family, a loving boyfriend, a devoted baby dog, and amazing friends.

People say nice things about my family, and there are only two adjectives I truly do agree with. ‘Blessed’ and ‘comfortable’. Blessed with love and comfortable as I am given the right amount of opportunities in life. I am very much content with this combination :)

Li Tat… ah I think I’ve written enough of him for anyone to get the gist of what we’re like ;)

I have never been the social butterfly, the girl with a network wide of friends. I prefer to filter; and keep the ones whom granted, I can connect with, but also the ones who I know love me as much as I love them- friends who will be pleased for my happiness instead of being resentful and jealous. I am in love with the little community I am in at the moment.

Sure there are downs as well as the ups, but it’s how you deal with it that makes everything better. The best thing that’s going on right now? Me mum’s home from Melb! I never knew how much I missed her nagging cooking :)

Ok I really don’t know how long this happy mood is going to last so you people (especially Tat) better make good use of it! Before I revert back into my angsty side hurhur.

Anything la

My rockstar son popped by Singapore two days ago- before he left he asked me what did I want from there, to which I promptly answered, “Anything”.

So the cheeky fella got me ANYTHING.

Jm: So what did you get me?
Alda: I got you Anything!
Jm: Huh???

ANYTHING carbonated drink

Anything has a friend, Whatever. Basically Anything and Whatever are the names of two soft drinks, both which have generic packaging so besides from reading the ingredients list at the side of the can, there’s no way a consumer can determine which flavour drink it is. Anything comes in six flavours- Cola, Cola with Lemon, Apple, Fizz Up, Cloudy Lemon and Root Beer. Read more here or here.

So the next time you’re dining in Singapore, when the waiter asks you for your drink order, say ‘Anything’ or ‘Whatever’. :)
