I think this was her best side or something haha!

Okay the reason why I’ve been MIA for a bit is because… I was on the plane back to Malaysia.
What started off as a ‘I miss home’ whinge on Sunday night became a full blown frantic search for the earliest flight back home. A visit to Malaysian Airlines at Exhibition Street was futile, so a call back home did the trick. All that was left to do was to change the reference numbers on our ticket, pack our bags, and head to the airport that very midnight.
I’m home now -a whole nine days earlier than planned- and sweating my arse off :) Helloooo heat.
I did leave Melbourne with a heavy heart though- saying g’bye to my mum nearly killed me :( The tears, the frantic cling-hugs, the ‘take care’s… Tat tried to make up for the emptiness by being extra attentive on the plane (randomly waking me up at intervals for nothing thanks a lot :p), but I still want my mommy boohoo.
That being said, I missed you Malaysia, stinky toilets and all! Ok time for Max-love round 121324.

Hurray for sleeveless tops :D And yes that is Max T_T
P.s. Sorry Melbourne sayangs for leaving so soon and not notifying you guys ’till now… will make it up to you guys the next time I’m there I promise!
“Going once, going twice, SOLD to the little lady in black!”
After the signing of contracts and the 10% down payment cheque, my parents are officially proud owners of a Glen Waverley home.

Approx 729sqm, just right down the street to the school, train station and The Glen
There’s so much planning going on now- cleaning, slight renovations, refurnishing, shipping of furniture… even I’m overwhelmed :/

what the?!
I stumbled into the living room half asleep this morning, and was greeted by my mother with a loud and gleeful “I PASSED MY DRIVING!!!” while hopping on one foot. I’ve… never… seen… her… hop…
According to her, she can now ‘drive like a gangster’.
Her next goal is to achieve a Certificate III in Children’s Services so she can fill up her time by being a part time nanny, then a Certificate IV in Youth Work for her future plans to run a student hostel.
Seems like she’s fitting nicely into the Melbourne life. Wonder woman, this one… and I’m proud of her :)
There are many things I ought to be and am grateful of. I have a wonderful family, a loving boyfriend, a devoted baby dog, and amazing friends.
People say nice things about my family, and there are only two adjectives I truly do agree with. ‘Blessed’ and ‘comfortable’. Blessed with love and comfortable as I am given the right amount of opportunities in life. I am very much content with this combination :)
Li Tat… ah I think I’ve written enough of him for anyone to get the gist of what we’re like ;)
I have never been the social butterfly, the girl with a network wide of friends. I prefer to filter; and keep the ones whom granted, I can connect with, but also the ones who I know love me as much as I love them- friends who will be pleased for my happiness instead of being resentful and jealous. I am in love with the little community I am in at the moment.
Max…

Need I say more about this little fella
Sure there are downs as well as the ups, but it’s how you deal with it that makes everything better. The best thing that’s going on right now? Me mum’s home from Melb! I never knew how much I missed her nagging cooking :)
Ok I really don’t know how long this happy mood is going to last so you people (especially Tat) better make good use of it! Before I revert back into my angsty side hurhur.

How can I not recognise that writing? The same cursive hand that signed all my report books

Haha the ‘Daddy & Brother’ is like an afterthought!

Can you tell that it made my day…

Thanks Mother and Jia Yeei :)
Just overheard:-
Brother: I’m going out now. I’ll be taking the car
Father: Okay, since you’re driving don’t drink too much, there will be roadblocks
Ah the joys of being the SON.
Awoke at 6:30am as we were heading over to Sg Buloh to pray for my late Porpor. Seeing my cousins’ solemn faces made me realise with a pang how much they’ve grown- how much WE’VE grown.
I started reminiscing about the nonsense we got up to during Chinese New Year at the grandparents’ when we were little… Cycling in circles around the courtyard while the older cousins handed out toll booth tickets (torn up pieces of newspapers); scribbling on photo albums (books) with the back end of combs (quills) while playing laoshi or rather teacher-teacher; having prim and proper tea parties while daintily sipping Chinese Tea and primly peeling up Mandarin oranges; harassing the poor ice-cream man to dig deeper into his frozen icebox for the frozen lollies; trawling the tiny town on foot in the blazing sun to get sweets; graduating to hardcore gambling and rm4.50-an-hour Cyber Cafes when we were older… no more.
Bittersweet. Even if it’s for the good, everything’s changing a tad too fast…
So little time
Try to understand that I’m
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody’s changing
And I don’t feel the same.
On an unrelated note, waking up this early makes me feel as though there are more hours in a day! I still have about two hours or so to laze about/attempt at something productive before I head off for work (work!) with Tat.

Burwood, Victoria
Tentatively, I shall be going over in June for an entire month- then have Tat join me in July for about two weeks- then it’s either Sydney or Gold Coast then back home by mid July. Sounds like a plan :)
Sorry in advance Suet, Tze and Aud if I won’t be here for a bit :( I’ll be back I promise!

Recent photo of Mother and Aunty Su’s baby girl in Melbourne
Well at least she looks like she’s having fun… :)
She cried when my dad left Melb :( And made him promise to see her in June. The only thing she’d asked me so far (besides the usual have-you-been-good nonsense) was if Daddy missed her… and don’t tell him it was her who asked ok! Hee.
Bro: Why do you have to go over in June anyway? Why not later?
Dad: ‘Cause I have an obligation…
Bro: What obligation?
Dad: I have to look after your mother :)
