I am once again, missing my other half. Tat’s currently traipsing all over Sydney and will only be back on Tuesday :(
I do miss Tat terribly- but to be honest, his current Sydney trip is proving to be quite a convenient time out as we’ve been bickering a little too often since his arrival at Melbourne. Maybe me being Tat-free and him being Jam-free for a bit will not be such a bad thing after all :/
So after a long day of rumination, I realised that I’ve been taking Tat for granted.
I do admit that I’ve only been focusing on the negatives, overlooking the positives… such as getting overtly upset whenever Tat yells at me, and ignoring the fact that he raised his voice at me only because I was stubborn and refused to wait for the green light (jaywalking is bad, I KNOW). I’ve been glossing over the little lovely things he constantly showers me with, i.e. letting me have my long showers even though he knows I’ll damn well run out the hot water; giving me his share of the comforter whenever I complain of cold feet; getting me the 10×2hrs Metcard ’cause he knows I’m far too stingy to get it…
Sometimes it’s better to just focus on the positives and mildly thrash out the negatives before trashing it out :)
Disclaimer: But DO bear in mind that it’s a completely different situation if the negative aspects are unforgivably out of line, such as if he’s cheating/beating/mistreating you… or if getting into your pants is all he’s after.
That being said, it takes two to fight hmph. So Tuan Li Tat, I’m sorry that I’ve been really, reaaally pushing it, but a little (more) patience will be much appreciated, heheh.
Oh well, here’s to another lonely night…

Today’s itinerary consisted of grocery shopping at Centro Box Hill (Tat had fun snickering at ketupats and Old Town white coffee packets at the asian grocery store) then Glen Waverly for a look-see.

I must admit, it’s REALLY nice that I don’t have to go around by my lonesome self anymore… Tat’s poring over the Melway behind me, and that gives me such a nice fuzzy warm feeling at the thought that he’s right here right now with me :)
Ok have to run, Tat’s whinging that he misses my hugs but I really suspect it’s because he wants to leech off my body warmth hmmph.

Oh… and I almost got busted on the tram for having a concession ticket without a concession card :( Read: All passengers travelling on concession fares, including students, must carry the appropriate transport concession card in order to travel on a concession ticket. In my defense, I only realised that I was 5 cents short of the $10.10 fare when I was already on the tram so I didn’t really have a choice…
Ticket Man: May I see your tickets please
Jm: *hands it over silently*
Ticket Man: Do you have your concession card with you?
Jm: Sorry but I don’t have it with me at the moment.. :(
Ticket Man: How old are you?
Jm: … Fourteen?
Ticket Man: Oh that’s alright then!
… I mean it’s great and all that I managed to get off scot free, but do I really look fourteen :(

That being said, four more days babe! I can’t wait :)

I know it has only been a grand total of a WEEK, but I really miss Tat :( From seeing each other almost every day to going cold turkey for a whole month? Trust me when I say I’m feeling it, yowch.
I do admit that I’m on the better end- I am in a new country with new exciting things to explore which keeps me from being lonely; while Tat’s back there on familiar land with nothing different to distract him from my absence. But I still wake up feeling empty, and go to bed feeling equally as empty. It’s as though I’m missing my right limb :(
The slow days may be the hardest for me, but on busy days I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss Tat at all. I walk down Blackburn and remind myself to show him my Aussie dream home (for when/if we ever move here), I eat at Don Don’s and remind myself to order him a Sashi Don (for he loves salmon), I visit touristy areas and remind myself to lug him there (for the purpose of recreating new memories)… I climb into bed and wish he could be here to cuddle me to sleep (self-explained).
According to his younger sister, Tat’s also been showing withdrawal symptoms, heh. We’re so clingy! And uh, whiny…
People say long distance ‘makes or breaks’ a couple, but I do believe we’ll make it… the only thing that would break will be our longest time spent apart record :p

After 7 hours of sitting on my arse, I look out the window and see the blinking lights of the airport below. I can’t help but wish I was at KLIA instead… and that Tat will be waiting for me at the arrival hall, to take my hand and take me home. I’ll have a shower, play with my baby Max, then go to sleep in my warm comfy bed. Then I’ll wake up the next morning and the first person I see will be you.
I really miss home can you tell :(
Oh and I wrote Tat short letters a la P.S. I Love You (only difference being it’s daily instead of monthly)… mushy mushroooooom
