Right, finally found time to sort out the Melbourne photos + thoughts!
Melbourne ‘08 was exactly how I envisioned it to be- not really a holi-holiday kind of trip but more of… getting used to living there. Before the trip, I was quite apprehensive about the whole migrating issue; and I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to shift over at all :/
But right now, after experiencing the Melbourne life (and winter BRR), I can safely say I’m 100% alright with The Big Move :) I can always decide what to do and where to go after the two years required to secure my PR anyway!
There have been house buyers tracking in and out of the house lately, and they all do it before 12pm- everyone knows I wake up only after noon. So I’ll have to drag my half asleep self out of the bed every time my dad taps on the door ugh. But to be fair the buyers were nice and considerate enough to just peek into the room and tell me to ‘go back to sleep, sorry for disturbing’.
My dad had a talk with me and said that once a confirmed offer comes through, we’ll have to start scouting for a temp place to live in before The Big Move to Down Under. I guess Max will have to be an apartment dog for a bit…
That being said I really can’t imagine another family in my beloved home, and another girl tapping away at her computer at this very angle in this very room :( :(
Tentatively, I shall be going over in June for an entire month- then have Tat join me in July for about two weeks- then it’s either Sydney or Gold Coast then back home by mid July. Sounds like a plan :)
