The best part of work is when it ends :D
That aside, today was a Productive Work Day! Finally hauled my faddarse up and plowed through a certain dreaded project (we’re sending figures to Japan- guess who has to compile them) which I held off for days cos it seemed really tedious and I wasn’t too sure of how to do it…
But I managed to shove away the mindfuck and I’m now 90% done woots! I think what did the trick was that I rewarded myself along the way- “Ok finish this section here and you can give Tat a text/take a toilet break/reply your IMs/make some coffee”…
Sometimes it’s just the satisfaction of a job well done… :) And other times it’s the money.
Mmmn, money.
I think Max doesn’t like me going to work. Despite my brother yelling at him to come for breakfast (and rattling the dog food tupperware too), Max sat still on the porch staring disapprovingly at me under those bushy brows while I reversed out.
On an unrelated note, traffic to work was unbelievably smooth- is today a public holiday?!?
And I was so sleepy I didn’t notice the handbrake was half up the entire 15km journey… please tell me this won’t hurt the car

… so I put on some dush-dush music to wake myself up!

Just (nearly) done with the expenditure sheet and will be heading to OU now to check up on the roadshow THEN back to the opis for a meeting at 3pm argh I think I need Red Bull to survive the day. ZZZ
If you have a colouring prodigy within the age rank of 3-12 on your hands, do bring the child to the Mazda Roadshow at One Utama Shopping Centre, High Street Ground Floor (New Wing), 13-17 August from 10am to 10pm for the colouring contest. You (well, the kid) might stand to win a Nintendo DS Lite or Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP!
I was quite tempted to join as they said I might qualify for the 8-12yo age group… but nah I’m the sort that can’t stick to colouring within the lines.
And if you drop by during Saturday evening I’ll give you a free balloon!
… Or you can just check out the cars :D
Display cars: Mazda6, Mazda5, CX-9, MX-5
I can’t believe the weekend’s over. Friday- catching up with sleep, Saturday- catching up with chores + errands, Sunday- catching up with weekend work.
Argh!
The next week will be better (that’s my mantra for getting through the next five days). Tentative plans for Friday After-Work Drinks (FAD) and more quality time with Tat please!
Now the only thing to look forward to is lunch with BazSuet, which is in an hour’s time… groan!

I never really knew the real meaning of TGIF until today…

Thank God It’s Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pop: So what have you learnt from this one week of work?
Jm: I’ve learnt to appreciate the weekends!!!
I admit that I had been living the life of a full-fledged bum for the past 21 years. I never had a real job, and only went through a part time stint ONCE (which lasted for a whole… three weeks?). But I’m already at my third year of uni, so it’s really about time I bucked the fuck up.
Today marked the day of my first official job :)
The team’s been nothing but nice to me (free lunch!!!)- and I’m not required to just perform mindless tasks ie. photostatting/filing/fetching coffee. In fact, they are wholeheartedly intent on teaching me the ropes of the marketing department, which I am truly grateful for.
I guess Su was right- interns will learn stuff only if they’re willing to do so… instead of sitting in a corner wondering how the staple works.
