Goodbye couch
I admit that I had been living the life of a full-fledged bum for the past 21 years. I never had a real job, and only went through a part time stint ONCE (which lasted for a whole… three weeks?). But I’m already at my third year of uni, so it’s really about time I bucked the fuck up.
Today marked the day of my first official job :)
The team’s been nothing but nice to me (free lunch!!!)- and I’m not required to just perform mindless tasks ie. photostatting/filing/fetching coffee. In fact, they are wholeheartedly intent on teaching me the ropes of the marketing department, which I am truly grateful for.
I guess Su was right- interns will learn stuff only if they’re willing to do so… instead of sitting in a corner wondering how the staple works.

watch and learn.. and remember! there is no such thing as a stupid question. if you dont understand, always ask… and tell them why you ask the question. you never know, it might be something the team have never thought about in their marketing strategy. marketing is not all about selling, but a business stategy to maximize firms profit in the long run.
and finally…not to forget, be confident and never doubt your own capability… good luck!

Yeah, companies tend to like interns who don’t mind plunging into the action (without going overboard/ being arrogant of course!) - I’m sure you’ll have a great time and learn heaps! =)

Eh when I was an intern I was given the great responsibility of purchasing kuih-muih at 4pm everyday. Kuih (Ah) Moi wtf.
And don’t forget: don’t take more than one MC in a fortnight! And don’t let Latat wait for you at the receptionist because they might call security WTF.

oh oh!! someone is angry huh? hopefully i am not the one stepping on your tail… hehe… hmm… your intern as car salesperson? cool. here is some hints! bring their spirits up and always bring them out on a ride… if you want more tips! go to edmunds.com and read confessions of a car salesmen… it is an easy and interesting read.
however, i am no marketing person… haha… actually i am an engineer hoping to move into corporate strategy. wish me luck!!
