So today I opened my eyes at 6am on the dot to do what I do every single day- bark incessantly until Papa wakes up to let me out. I think he’s not much of a morning person…
I played in the garden by myself until Mommy came down at nine to give me a shower. I considered ducking out of sight when she stumbled upon the hole I dug in the grass, but I think she was too sleepy to care cos all she did was grunt.
She couldn’t find the sponge so I dutifully trotted up and down beside her as she looked for it- only to realise that I had the sponge tucked safely in my mouth. Whoops. I think she wasn’t too amused cos I heard her mutter, “GOD you’re one annoying dog.”
Mommy had a great time scrubbing the soil and dirt off my body but then she decided to give my hair a trim… I was shivering every time the (sharp) scissors went near my body- what if she snips a piece of my skin instead?! Luckily for me she stayed within the boundaries of my fur…
Anyway I wasn’t too happy about the haircut (I think I look like a dork minischnauzer now…) so I was rude and talked back at her. This is me at my best:-

Many dead in Madrid plane crash
The death toll from a passenger plane crash at Madrid’s Barajas airport has risen to 153, Spain’s government says.
Nineteen people survived when the plane swerved off the runway but some are in critical condition, said Development Minister Magdalena Alvarez.
It is thought the left engine caught fire as the Spanair flight took off for the Canary Islands at about 1420 (1220 GMT) with 172 people on board.
Helicopters dumped water on the burning plane and some 70 ambulances attended.
Spain’s development minister told a news conference that investigators had ruled out foul play and considered the crash an accident.
As night fell, recovery teams were still removing bodies from the crash site, which is now silent and in darkness, except for the occasional flashing blue lights of emergency vehicles, the BBC’s Steve Kingstone in Madrid says.

Sun was never really my thing- but I did also think that going all out to shun the rays was kinda silly. I like doing outdoorsy stuff so being burnt was sometimes inevitable and in my terms, acceptable.
Until the skin woes cropped up. Sun spots, wrinkles, ugly tanlines… ughhh.
The Club’s adamancy to stay fair has finally rubbed off me. Say hullo to my new best friend-

This morning, due to the invincibility I felt while wearing flats (understandable after two consecutive weeks of heels) I flew down the stairs three steps a stride- thump thump thump THUMP. At the last THUMP, I landed heavily at the feet of a passing lady, startling her. Despite her holding her heart as though I had just given her a coronary, I’m pretty sure she’ll survive the scare- as she turned to her companion and muttered, “How nice is it to be young with so much energy again.”
This made me think. The lady didn’t seem that old… at most she should be in her forties. I imagine myself at fifty and I am quite certain that I will still be prancing about, whining shamelessly like a 5 yo when I don’t get my way, and headbutting Tat whenever he pisses me off. I have so much excess energy to burn off- if I don’t I turn destructive.
As for when I’m eighty and can hardly move… there’s always the thumb twiddling option.

I don’t usually succumb to doing my umn big business in a public loo, but today marked my first day of taking a dump while at work. One of the main reasons why I’m not comfortable with this is because I find it embarrassing when someone walks in while you’re in the midst of well, unloading…
I’m quite sure THIS would run through their head- “Omg is someone taking a crap now I can smell it hell I’m sure they can smell it all the way from China shit this stinks pun intended” cos there are certain times when I find similar lines going through mine…
I was so shy that I waited for whoever it was to enter a stall, and once I heard the toilet lock click shut- I rushed out (after washing my hands, obviously) and scampered back to my table in a record time of .89 seconds. Then I nonchalantly tapped away at my comp as though I had never left my seat.
I’m so weird.

I think Max doesn’t like me going to work. Despite my brother yelling at him to come for breakfast (and rattling the dog food tupperware too), Max sat still on the porch staring disapprovingly at me under those bushy brows while I reversed out.
On an unrelated note, traffic to work was unbelievably smooth- is today a public holiday?!?
And I was so sleepy I didn’t notice the handbrake was half up the entire 15km journey… please tell me this won’t hurt the car

To round up a great weekend, I had a 太太 Sunday.
#1 Dimsum at Oriental Pavillion @ Jaya 33, Section 14 PJ
Had brunch with Chian Tyng and Edmund- Mund asked if we could do lunch instead for the next meet… apparently 11am is too early for food. Or to be awake at (I seconded that). Too bad Chian has a natural body clock that wakes her up everyday at 6am yes including the weekends WHAT THE HELL.
But it was nice to see that no matter how far we drift apart by the years, chuck us back together and we’ll have plenty to yak on, just like old times :)
#2 Self indulgence sesh
Sped to Cheras and reached there in 15 minutes (new record!) as Tze made a 3pm facial appointment.
I am no longer a facial virgin. Ok that sounded wrong. Buka… ke.
Tze and I spent the first half chatting relaxedly with our eyes closed. Aaah the clean environment, the soft lush music, the soothing massage of the facial therapist… But we fell silent during the middle bit- cos it started to hurt while they were picking at our skin. As in HURT REAL BAD. I felt like I was at the dentist… I was literally going cross-eyed over the pain (and also from trying to peek through the eyepads at what the therapist was doing to my skin).
But I’m very pleased with the end results! I honestly don’t mind making this a monthly thing despite the price.
Okay my taitai day ends here as tatais don’t have 11pm bedtimes due to work the next day *throws taitai fit*
I guess taitais don’t do after shower hair and oversized tees either
