tough love indeed

All the late night bickerings, all the tears, all the rage and all the uncalled for words– why is it so hard??

… It’s so that the after fight make up would seem so much more worth it ;)

Love you sayang.

First, a birthday shoutout:-

Happy 21st Ben! Hope you enjoyed your 5 minutes of fame/embarrassment :D

Nicked a balloon back from Ben’s birthday dinner at La Bodega earlier, and Max took quite a fancy to it, trotting around with the balloon string firmly clasped in his mouth.

Is it just me or does traffic seem extra shite around the Bandar Utama/Mutiara Damansara area lately??

On an unrelated note, I imported some old blog posts from 2006. Though I thought I’d spare you guys from the crazy emo angry entries (I’m sure we all went through that phase when we were young… or then again maybe it’s just me), here are the ones with minimal angst. Fun fun.

what defines a good friend?

The answer ’someone who will never backstab you’ does not apply anymore in the real world.

Everywhere, everyone talks. I suppose I have too been found guilty of doing so– it only depends on the scale of how cruel the words are. I don’t believe in exceeding THAT limit.

Because of this one incident, I’ve decided to create an invisible wall to keep everyone out. Except for Tat cos he’s the only one who won’t judge even if I tell him [insert judgmental worthy story here].

when we were young

when-we-were-young

Had a dream last night where I was transported back to my old primary school, Kuen Cheng. Yes I was from a chinese school, yes I can still speak chinese, and yes I took chinese for PMR as an extra subject and received a lousy C (which reflected quite well on how much I studied for it, damn).

Digressing for a bit, some of my chinese speaking course mates get a kick every single time I open my mouth for some ching chong ching. The worst insult I received after my indignant what’s-the-big-deal would be “cos you look like a banana hahaha”. I know my pin yin isn’t the greatest but still… a banana?! Yellow on the outside and white on the inside. Tat will then have to be a potato: brown on the outside and white on the inside I love you hunnie!

Back to my dream. I was reminded of how carefree those days were, playing lao hu gong gong ji dian jong at the hall, kneading eraser waste into powder form (the finer it is, the better) and storing them in film roll containers, drawing manga, writing Sweet Valley-ish fiction, writing short poems (not unlike the work of I have a cat, the cat ate a rat, and there it sat)…

However, my friends and I were a little more ambitious. We started a movie making club– Couch Potato Productions (sadly, the name is now taken and most likely registered). It was complete with a camcorder, scripts, and even a director’s megaphone. We paid little attention to safety, a second story drop would be fine… as long as there’s a mattress at the bottom. And some band-aids on hand.

Ah, the good old days.

Max’s favourite programme would be the ladies’ tennis. He enjoys watching toned women chasing and thwacking balls. He has taste, this boy.

This is Max’s first time under the car. He was pretty excited at first, but I doubt he’ll be paying that spot another visit after knocking his head on the bottom part of the car. Hard, too.
